Team Minor Novice:
First of all, a BIG congratulations to our boys on winning the Presidents Trophy for finishing first overall in the regular season (okay, there is no trophy...only bragging rights...but we'll take what we can get!).
We had some ups and downs, and we grew as a team to where we are today...a great place as we move into the playoff round.....
We have one more regular season game (tonight vs Oakridge), along with the West London tourney this weekend that we will use as a tune-up heading into the 10 game round robin playoff (2 games vs each opponent). I believe if we win our playoff, we are granted a birth in the Alliance Championship Tournament in Stratford. Show time!
This being said, the seeded playoffs have begun as well - meaning practice ice is at a premium. We were only slotted for one practice next week (Feb 7th), so we have purchased an additional ice time on Saturday Feb 9th to ensure we have our legs heading into our first playoff game Sunday Feb 10 vs Sarnia. Please check the calendar for details on times and locations.
As for this weekends tournament, the games are posted on the website. We also made a reservation at the Palasad North restaurant for 12PM on Friday Feb 1st. We will need to know by tonight (Wed Jan 30) if your child is attending - since they want to know how much food to prepare for the children - adults can order off the menu. Please email me your confirmation and meal selections.
Our second game that day is at Carling at 3:30PM, so this is between our two games. All parents and kids are invited, but if you can't make it, that's fine too.
