House League
Welcome to the 2022/23 West London Minor Hockey Association season!  Though the season is months away at this point, planning is already underway.  The initial plans for the upcoming season include planning for ice allocation, when and where teams will practice, equipment & jerseys for teams as well as many other items.  Once Registration opens, you will be able to get your children into their appropriate age groups and things will evolve quickly from there.

West London Hockey is always looking for great volunteers to help everything run smoothly.  Please step up in whatever ways you are able to.

Team Pictures

The Team Pictures are not booked as of yet but they generally happen at the end of October or on one of the first 2 weekends in November.  Please stay tuned for more details.

Convenors Needed!

We are currently looking for House League Convenors for the following divisions: Novice, Atom, Peewee, Bantam and Midget. This is a very important role and a great way to help out West London Minor Hockey! If you are interested in helping out, please contact WLMHA

Coaches, Assistant Coaches & Managers Needed!
Just like every year, we will need a good bunch of the most dedicated volunteers any hockey association cannot do without!  We need Coaches in every age group from Midget/Juvenile and all the way down to Tyke.  If you are interested in applying for a Coaching Position, please click here COACHES & OTHER TEAM POSITIONS.

General Information
West London HL teams (Minor Novice to Midget)  play in the CHL League against teams from North London, Oakridge and London Bandits.  Minor Novice to Major Bantam houseleague teams will typically receive 1 game and 1 practice per week, though this may vary from week to week due to the complexities of the scheduling.  Minor and Major Midget teams will play a total of 6 games per month and will share their practice ice with another team.

House League Evaluations

House League evaluations will take place in September with balancing games being scheduled late September.  Please refer to the West London schedule under your players division for the exact times. Similar to previous years, larger divisions have been split into two (2) different sessions based on a surname alphabetical split. Please take note of the splits and participate in the appropriate session.

This year, players will be evaluated over the course of two days in September. Following evaluations, the head coaches will complete a draft in an effort to select balanced teams. Upon selection of the teams, the coaches will reach out to all the players and provide additional information relating to the balancing games. Balancing games will be held the following weekend to further review the teams; players may be shifted from one team to the other should it be determined by the coaches that the teams are unbalanced.

The rosters for House League players are not considered finalized until the end of the last week of November which means in the event that our balancing games do not solve any in-balance between teams, we could possibly switch some players in late November.  In addition, the CHL which is the committee that runs the House League for the GLHA, will enforce changes up to the end of December if there are extreme balancing issues within teams from the same association.  For example if 1 West team is 10-1 and another is 1-10, the CHL has the authority to make players change teams.
