Off-Ice TPH Shooting Clinic
Update - We had our first TPH (Total Package Hockey) shooting clinic last night at the Western Fair Arena.
Six players from our team participated - Richardson, Blake, Cameron, Larsen, Morris, and Moore. The cost was less than expected, at $15 per shooter for a one-hour clinic. Since this was the first time any of us had participated in this, we weren't sure what to expect. I think the general consensus is that it was well worth the time and $$.
The kids were provided several great tips on body positioning, hand placement, and weight transfer. The first 10-15 minutes were spent on instruction, with the remaining time spent on shooting pucks. Lukas thoroughly enjoyed it, and I'm sure the other boys did too.
Parents were permitted to be in the shooting room to watch the kids - but after last nights session, Tom decided we'll be holding team parent meetings upstairs at Coyote Jack's for each session going forward. This motion was carried uncontested.
We still have openings on Mar 12 and Mar 19 for anyone still interested. Please let me know if you'd like a spot held for your child at the clinic, and a seat reserved for you at Coyote Jack's!
