ALLIANCE CHAMPIONSHIP Bound!
Congratulations to our boys on moving on to the West Alliance Minor Novice MD Finals vs Bandits, and more importantly, qualifying for the Alliance Championship Tournament to be held in Stratford Apr 12-14th
It was a close final game 3 vs North, who played very solid defensively. Their goaltending stymied us for two periods, having us trailing 1-0 heading into the third. Although we dominated play most of the game, we couldn't get the puck past the sea of red jerseys crowding the front of their net.
But once we managed to jam one in to tie the game early in the third period, the light 'clicked', and our boys had a little extra shine in their eyes. We put the pressure on them the very next shift, swarming the net. This is when our defense pinched to the high slot and Dunner buried what turned out to be the game winning goal. We kept the momentum going, playing an amazing third period, and cruised to the 5-1 victory. An excellent team game!
Please watch the calendar closely, as we'll be adding practices, along with the West Final games vs Bandits soon. This is a difficult time of year to plan too far ahead, so please be patient. You will notice a link has been added on the left side of our homepage that goes to the Alliance Championship website. The game times are already posted, with only the teams to be determined.
