Tryouts are just a few sleeps away

Welcome to the tryouts for the Hawks Minor Midget MD team.
We look forward to seeing players demonstrate great skill and hockey sense as they compete for a spot on the team.
The first tryout session is Thursday, Sept. 6 from 9:30 to 10:20 p.m. at the new Bostwick arena. Players are expected to be at the dressing room 45 minutes in advance of start time.
Uniforms/jerseys will be provided for tryouts, but we ask that all players bring a spare jersey with them just in case. Players will provide their own water bottles for tryouts.
We have been informed that the Bandits do not have enough players to form a team. We expect to receive a few players from their club at the tryouts. More details are expected soon from the Bandits. Oakridge was also unable to form a team.
The Hawks will compete in 4 tournaments this season, including one in Quebec City in February. The team will not play in a tournament during the Christmas season.
We may see action March break so parents need to check with the coach before making plans. Typically the league tries to avoid games during the weekdays and one weekend. More information will be available later in September.
The Hawks will play an interlocking schedule with teams from the East bracket Burlington, Hamilton, Waterloo, as well as Sarnia and London. Tournament and game dates are now being added to the team calendar.
