My name is Brent Kirchner and I’m very excited
to be the Head Coach for the 2016-17 Major Atom MD Team. I’ve been involved with West London Minor
Hockey for five years on the bench in different roles and I had the pleasure of
coaching the Minor Atom MD team last year.
I look forward to putting the knowledge and experience I’ve gained to
work again this year and feel confident that this team will have great success.
My Coaching Philosophy is that fun and skill development is the key to success. I believe that a successful team is built on hard work, dedication, respect and sportsmanship by all. The Player’s need to be given an opportunity to develop their skills in a safe structured environment that constantly challenges them while providing both encouragement and support. Each player’s development and team play is more important than any individual game.

Registration is now open and I will post the list of registered players a few days before tryouts start. The tryout dates and times are listed on the calendar. The times might change, so please check the calendar just before tryouts. One parent of each registered player will have to complete the Respect In Sport course online at the Hockey Canada website before tryouts, if you haven’t already completed in the past. I will list my tryout expectations and outline a week before the tryouts start.
