U18 - Gold, B/BB (West London Minor Hockey)

On behalf of the coaching staff and myself I want to extend congratulations to our boys on finishing the regular season undefeated (24-0-2).  Finishing up this weekend with a win on Seniors Day and a shut out victory yesterday.  We are all super proud of the accomplishment and years from now you can reflect and reminisce, however today starts the beginning of an entirely different season.  So rest today but the real work begins tomorrow.  Go Hawks Go.

Seniors Night is quickly approaching, next Saturday March 7th.  This is our opportunity to recognize and congratulate the boys accomplishments over their years of minor hockey as it quickly comes to a close.  Bring your posters, noise makers and be prepared to make some noise as we compete against the WL Black team for one final time.

3 for 3 as the Hawks continue to soar.  Gold was able to overcome a sluggish performance in the semi-final and play their best all around game of the season vs. stiff competition from Kitchener in the Jr. Rangers.  The boys overcome an early deficit and together achieved the tournament win, although the win did not come without casualty losing a key component to a broken arm.  We now set our sites on finishing the season strong and preparing for Alliance weekend.  Thank you to parents, friends and family for the continued support.  Go Hawks Go.

2 for 2  The boys in their gold's demonstrated they can compete and excel against competition from all over Ontario.  Despite moments of adversity and questionable officiating they overcame the obstacles, grew as a team and dispatched of weaker opposition early into games.  However teams like Clarington and West Mall provided for much tougher opposition and the lessons learned from those games helped them to better appreciate the need for consistent determination and teamwork.  Thank you for another amazing weekend of hockey boys. A successful weekend saw our boys capture their first honor of the season, going undefeated and winning the Boston Pizza Cup in St. Thomas vs. the Ajax Pickering Raiders.  Great early season success as we build from the foundation we built last season. Great job Hawks, now back to work.
