U18 - Gold, B/BB (West London Minor Hockey)

2 for 2  The boys in their gold's demonstrated they can compete and excel against competition from all over Ontario.  Despite moments of adversity and questionable officiating they overcame the obstacles, grew as a team and dispatched of weaker opposition early into games.  However teams like Clarington and West Mall provided for much tougher opposition and the lessons learned from those games helped them to better appreciate the need for consistent determination and teamwork.  Thank you for another amazing weekend of hockey boys. Go HAWKS Go.

A successful weekend saw our boys capture their first honor of the season, going undefeated and winning the Boston Pizza Cup in St. Thomas vs. the Ajax Pickering Raiders.  Great early season success as we build from the foundation we built last season. Great job Hawks, now back to work.

Thank you to every player for the determination, sportsmanship and energy they brought to every tryout.  The final decisions on this group were not easy. Thank you to the evaluators and coaches their insight and feedback throughout.  For those selected offer sheets for registration will follow Monday and for those released I will be reaching out with affiliated player agreements, every participant whom competed this past week demonstrated they deserve the opportunity to skate with this team at some juncture this season. The next two ice times are exhibition games vs. opponents from Sarnia and Oakridge, all players are encouraged to maintain the high standard of sportsmanship and respect shown the O9 participants during previous skates. In advance please review the following roster notes. The final roster will be announced Sunday and new this year offer sheets will be forwarded requiring quick acceptance.  Individuals not selected will immediately be offered affiliated player agreements.
