The KnightHawks brought their A game to their final against Bandits 23 as did their opponents. The result was an exciting final match that like the semifinals went down to the final seconds. Unfortunately, this time the result didn't favour the KnightHawks as they went down 2-1 to a game Bandits squad.

The KnightHawks faced a team with which they've built a good, friendly rivalry on Saturday in the semifinals, the Bandits #33. And just like in their last match, this one went down to the wire as the KnightHawks squeaked out a 3-2 win on an overtime goal by "Velvet Hands" Owen Askew.

The KnightHawks thrilled fans across the nation on the weekend, if not always their coaches, posting a tie and a win in back to back games and securing first place in the playoff round robin in the process.

The KnightHawks played the Bandits 43 last night and won 3-1. In the process, a legend was born. Kayden Keating, who plays with the sort of wild abandon that has earned him the nickname, "The Little Ball of Hate", roared in alone on the Bandits' goaltender midway through the second period, beat him to the puck, and deposited a raging shot to the glove side to put his team up 2-0. Keating's goal stood up as the game winner as the KnightHawks hung on to win 3-1.

The KnightHawks continued their march through the playoffs this afternoon, facing off against Oakridge #13 at Kinsmen Arena, a team they had beaten 1-0 in their previous meeting. Sure enough, it was another tight game in this one but the KnightHawks found a way to win, playing with grit and gutting out a 2-1 victory.
