Minor PeeWee Tryouts and Season Overview
Good Afternoon and Welcome to the West London Minor PeeWee MD Hawks Team Webpage. I hope you are all enjoying your last couple weeks of Summer and looking forward to getting back to school and back on the ice!
Tryout dates for the Minor PeeWee MD team are:
Thursday, Sept 10 - 7:30 PM-8:20 PM Nichols Arena - B Pad
Saturday, Sept 12 - 1:00 PM-1:50 PM Nichols Arena - A Pad
Sunday, Sept 13 - 4:30 PM-5:20 PM Nichols Arena - B Pad
Monday, Sept 14 - 6:00 PM-6:50 PM Nichols Arena - A Pad
Wednesday, Sept 16 - 6:30 PM-7:20 PM Nichols Arena - B Pad
(NOTE: It is possible one or more of these dates may become exhibition games and there may be away exhibition games added to these dates)
Our team will participate in the following 4 Tournaments:
Ace Bailey Tournament - Oct 15th to 18th in Stoney Creek.
TBA - November / Early December, 2015.
Wayne Gretzky International Tournament - Dec 27th to 30th in Brantford.
West London Optimist Tournament, Jan 29th to 31st.
*** In addition, one of our team goals will be to return to The Alliance Championships April 8-10th, 2016 in St. Catherines, ON.
The regular season begins October 3rd, 2015 and ends the weekend of the West London Tournament. Immediately after the West London Tournament (February 1st), the Round Robin Playoffs will begin and they end on March 13th. The top 4 teams in the Round Robin, qualify for Playdowns. The Semi-Finals are March 14th to 23rd, 2016 and the Finals are March 24th to April 2nd, 2016.
*** At this time, there will be hockey games scheduled during the March Break.
In addition to your Registration Fee's, there is an MD Upcharge ($375.00) if your player is successful in earning a position on the team. There will also be a Board approved Team Budget and corresponding Team Fee's for each player to cover additional expenses ($600.00 to $900.00 per player range). There will be sponsorship and fundraising opportunities to offset these costs.
The team will be comprised of a full Roster of 17 Players (9 Forwards, 6 Defencemen and 2 Goalies).
