The WEST was the BEST this past weekend!
Submitted By Brady Parr on Mon 10 24, 16
A congratulations is in order for three of our MD teams this past weekend as West London conquered everyone in their way from Canada to the USA!

First up was our MAJOR ATOM MD TEAM whoshook off two early losses this past weekend to rattle off three straight wins, culminating in Sunday's thrilling 3-2 overtime victory against the Hamilton Huskies to leave the Ace Bailey Memorial Tournament with a championship banner and some new jewellery.

Next up was our MINOR PEEWEE MD TEAM who ventured down to Pittsburgh for the Fall Classic. These boys were fortunate to have only suffered just one loss in a 0-1-1 which followed to victory during an exhausting, nail biting sudden death shoot out. After throwing their gloves in the air, our boys walked away with a 3-2 win over the Cheektowaga Warriors!

Lastly our MAJOR PEEWEE MD TEAM
were champions at the 31st Ace Bailey Tournament in Stoney Creek.  After an opening game loss to Burlington where the boys themselves knew they didn’t play their best hockey, they were forced to go the long route through the bracket.  An emotional roller coaster ensued that saw everything from shootout winning goals, 1x1 OT, some questionable referring and the loss of players to injuries, however the boys rallied together many playing unfamiliar positions to achieve the team’s goal of competing and ultimately winning the prized championship rings over the same Burlington team.  Our six games saw the boys only concede 6 goals while filling the opponent’s net with 30 of our own, proudly both of our goalies had a shutout each along the way.  An overall awesome A++ job HAWKS.
