This past weekend our
West London MD teams had an extremely heavy presence at the ALLIANCE MD CHAMPIONSHIP tournament in St Catharines. It was noted that reports came in that the earth actually shook when our teams drove into town! LOL!
Seven of our teams battled their way into the finals and four of our teams were crowned king in the championship games! Amazing efforts everyone and you should be extremely proud!
MINOR PEEWEE MD - Tier I
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
ALLIANCE CHAMPIONS
This special group of boys just had their "dream season". Winning wasn't the goal. The goal was to have fun, and equally share the losses, ties and wins. Each skater learned and owned at least 2 positions, and the boys played whatever position asked of them with focus and pride. Our goalies shrugged off losses or goals against, and never backed down when the team needed them. We did not have a 1st, 2nd or 3rd line, a 1st or 2nd goalie, or Power Play and Penalty Kill teams. We just had a TEAM.
This team did not win every game this year, or even every tournament game. But they did win every big game they had to. The result: regular season winners, West playoff champs, 4 for 4 tournament Champs and Alliance Champions. This was not a special team because they won so much hardware. This was a special team that also happened to win some big games.
I could not be prouder of the class, determination and teamwork exhibited by this group of young men. This
was a year to remember!

ALLIANCE CHAMPIONS
The MD1 team capped off an amazing season (41-1-1) by winning the Alliance Championships against Brantford 99'ers. It has been an absolute pleasure to coach such a talented group of boys who throughout the year displayed sportsmanship, determination and a love for the game. Thank you to the coaches, parents, extended family and especially players for the memories.
We are the Hawks! The Mighty, Mighty Hawks! And if you can't hear us! We will shout a little louder!

MINOR BANTAM MD - Tier II

ALLIANCE FINALISTS
Our Minor Bantam MD team came a long way this season. Several players attended MD tryouts for the first time this season, and the team welcomed seven new players into the mix. After a slow 0-8-1 start to the season, this team consistently improved and ended up qualifying for the West Playdowns while also playing in the championship game in four out of six tournaments entered; including the Alliance Tier II championships on the weekend. This Hawks team wants to congratulate North London on their well-deserved Tier I championship, and the very classy Oakridge players and coaches on their Tier II championship.

ALLIANCE CHAMPIONS
We had a great season and continued to improve and get better throughout the end of the regular season and into the playoffs. We did not lose a game after game one of the West semi finals. After eliminating the Bandits we beat North in two games in the finals to capture the West division trophy. At Alliance we beat North again tied Waterloo and beat Cambridge. We were the first seed and received the bye to the final where we beat Waterloo 4-2 to capture the Alliance Championship.

Major Novice MD2 - Tier II

ALLIANCE FINALISTS
After a fantastic season for the Novice MD2 Hawks which saw them win the league regular season, playoffs, West Alliance league Championship, and 2 tournaments they ran into some stiff competition during the Alliance Championship weekend. The young Hawks went 1-2 in the round robin making it to the semis. This is unfortunately where an amazing season ended. The Coaches and parents are extremely proud of this group of kids for their sportsmanship, teamwork, dedication, and enthusiasm all year long. They build memories and bonds that will last a life time and that is what hockey is all about!

MINOR ATOM MD - Tier II
-----------------------------
ALLIANCE CHAMPIONS
The West London Minor Atom MD competed in the tier II Alliance. The first 3 games were each won by a close margin, as is the makeup of this team each game reflected the teamwork of all 17 players and the game sheets reflected this team play, with these wins they were awarded a spot in the finals. The hard work continued with exceptional back checking and amazing defence and goal tending. The result was a well deserved 3 - 0 win over a very good Brantford team. The coaching staff and parents are very proud of how the boys played as a team and always showed exceptional sportsmanship.
