KnightHawks Tie North London 3-3
The KnightHawks followed up their impressive run of the past few weeks with a solid effort in a 3-3 tie with North London #33. The team's forecheck continued to improve, giving North's defence fits and causing countless turnovers. On the whole, the coaching staff was satisfied with the effort if not entirely happy with the result.

Several KnightHawks had good games. Connor Devlin stood out both because he jammed the puck in after some hard work and a centering pass by winger Troy Price, and because he came to the defence of his teammate Owen Askew after Askew was the victim of a vicious crosscheck courtesy of a North London player. Assistant Coach Adam Steele praised Devlin as "a good teammate and model citizen" when asked about the incident in a post-game media scrum.

The other two goals both came off the stick of Jack Peterkin who may have shaken the monkey off his back who's been directing so many of his shots wide of the net or straight into the goalie's chest. On the other hand, Peterkin also took a penalty for bodychecking and scorer James Nielsen, who was held off the scoresheet otherwise in this contest, likewise got two minutes for tripping.

Brandon Miles also had a good game, rushing back several times to break up odd-man rushes or thwart breakaways. In net, Kaelan Walsh was solid, and most memorably turned aside a breakaway in the dying minutes of the third.

Hopefully, the KnightHawks can build off the good effort to return to their winning ways on the weekend.

Go KnightHawks go!
