West A4, 2012-2013, HL-U11 (West London Minor Hockey)

I would like to thank everyone for coming out this weekend for our teams first tournament.  Our players played very well, and they improved their level of play each game.  Our goal tending was second to none.  The whole team can be very proud of a Bronze level finish.  Our next tournaments will be gold!! I hope all the parents (and players) enjoyed the lunch venue on Sunday.  I for one very much enjoyed the setting and talking with everyone. It was a great way to spend a weekend!  I hope everyone had fun.

Well done team!  We played another strong game today - we didn't stop fighting or skating hard, and this time we were rewarded with our first regular season win!  And not only was it our first win, but our goalie, Alex D., got his first shut out!  Well done everyone!  The games only goal was scored by Tyler A. and assisted by Anthony P. - nicely done.

GREAT GAME TODAY TEAM!  We lead for most of the game, and it was the most exciting game I have watched in some time!  Our forwards spread out, they passed, they put the puck on the net, and they didn't quit!  Great goals by Lucas and Sam (nice breakaway Sam!). Our goaltender was suburb!  Alex did everything but stand on his head (he's saving that for the next game). And our Defence was incredible.  Our defencemen fought for the puck, they skated with it, they made some great passes, and Liam and Thomas were both credited with an assist! Way to go TEAM! Well done team.  We played our first balancing games and all our players looked great.  It was a good first weekend to a season that I hope is filled with lots of fun, hockey, and a few wins ;) Shawn
