RETURN TO PLAY FAQ's

Question

Will the teams be balanced based on skill? I know there are kids playing together on spring teams, so I am concerned that those kids will all be on the same team making it unfair to other teams. How do you plan on making sure this does not happen?
Answer
Yes the teams will all be balanced based upon skill. We will be creating teams for both MD and HL based upon last seasons rosters as there are no evaluations.

Question
I have signed my son up for first year Novice (2013), so unclear about when their season will start? And about this new payment structure- I’ve paid in full so how does that workout?
Answer
New season will start the first week in October (Oct 10) based upon the new payment structure. The new payment structure communication indicates that your payment in full will support the initial payment of either $300 for HL or $350. The remaining funds will be held in trust for the second half of the season.

Question
Can you still get a refund? After we see what this year will look like?
Answer
As per the communication sent out early this week, you can request a refund until Sept 11, and after that there will be a $75 fee until Oct 24 when no further refunds will be accepted.

Question
Why does it seem as though HL is more expensive than MD?
Answer
Fees are based on two elements.  The first element is the fixed cost which is for insurance, OHF/Alliance Fees and these are a fixed amount per player for the entire year. The second element is the variable fee which are for the ice cost and is per scheduled ice hour.  HL is scheduled for 15 ice times so the fixed cost is divided across the 15 ice times and then the variable cost is added to this amount.  MD and Mustangs are scheduled for 20 ice times so the fixed cost is divided across the 20 ice times and then the variable cost is added to this amount.  For any additional ice times scheduled after Dec. 19 for the remainder of the year the fixed cost will not be charged.
