The Greater London Hockey Association (GLHA) recently announced it will implement changes to geographic boundaries within London. These changes follow the OHF’s updated player movement regulations, allowing families more flexibility. The purpose of this shift is not to promote excessive movement, but to ensure families can select the development environment for their child.
We will continue to offer house league, select and MD/B/BB hockey programs from U7 to U18 for players in West London and will welcome players from the GLHA and surrounding area who wish to play with us.
Removal of geographic boundaries
- All geographic boundaries within the City of London will be removed for the 2026-27 season.
- BB/B and Mustangs teams U10-U18 will implement an open borders policy and there will be no residency requirements for players who wish to play on one of our GLHA teams.
- U8 and U9 MD teams will allow movement between our GLHA associations (Bandits, Oakridge, North London and West London). In accordance with OHF regulations players residing in OMHA centres are not eligible to tryout within the GLHA.
- House League remains unchanged and will continue operating without geographical restrictions.
Changes to evaluation timing
- U8 and U9 MD evaluations will move to early spring, aligning with U10–U16 B/BB and A evaluations.
- U18 evaluations will continue to take place in Fall 2026.
We'll share more information about our programs, coaches and plans for next season in the coming weeks.
