Welcome to the 2019-2020 West London Hawks Minor Atom MD Team Website
With the tryouts approaching soon I would like to introduce myself. My name is Jamie Gardiner and I am really looking forward to this upcoming season!
I have been involved with competitive hockey over the last 6 years as either a head coach or an assistant. I look forward to bringing my coaching experience to the West London Hawks!
As tryouts will be starting in early September, please refer to this site for tryout times and updates. Each player is guaranteed 3 skates and then I will start releasing players.
When you arrive at the arena please check dressing room doors for assigned room and jersey colour/number. The jerseys need to be hung back up on hangers following each skate and NOT to be taken home. Goalies please wear the same jersey for the duration of tryouts. Bring your own water bottle and ensure player is dressed and ready 10 minutes prior.
Each player will be evaluated fairly by myself along with a few unbiased individuals who have no affiliation with this team or any players trying out. Obviously we will make evaluations on each players skating abilities, along with their own individual skill set. However, other factors will be taken into great consideration such as coachability, work ethic, behaviour and one's overall competitive drive!
It is my intention to field the best team possible, not necessarily by position (goalies exempted). Therefore some players may be offered a roster spot on the condition of playing a new position to them - for the duration of the season. If this will be an issue please advise me in advance of final selections.
We will be entering 4 tournaments this season. Pending acceptance.

November 15 North London
December 27 Brantford (Wayne Gretzky)
January 17 West London Hawks
