I would
like to thank all the players and their families for participating in the Major
Novice Tier I tryouts this year. It has been an extremely difficult decision,
which I could not have done without the assistance of my evaluators. There were
many qualities that we looked for during the tryouts that would give the 15 players
selected the best chances of coming together as a team. I relied heavily on
their evaluations and observations to help make the selections for this team.
To those who have been released, I wish you all the best in your Tier II tryouts and the upcoming season. I understand it is disappointing not being selected, however try not to be discouraged and take the positives from this experience. Continue working hard developing your hockey skills and above all, continue to have fun every opportunity you get to go on the ice.
Parents, if you would like feedback with regards to the evaluations, please respect the 24-hour rule and I will be happy to discuss it with you.
