Hello West London families, my name is Jon Branton and I am
excited to have been selected as the head coach of the West London Major Novice
Tier I Team for the 2017-18 season.
Tryout times and dates have been listed on the website, please check back as it gets closer to the first tryout to confirm the schedule. The season will begin approximately the first weekend of October and will end with the Alliance Championship in April. This should be a fun season as we also plan to participate in four tournaments including:
The Peter Mancuso November Challenge – Niagara Falls (Nov. 3-5)
The Randy Merten / Dan Holland Memorial Tournament – Belle River (Dec. 1-3)
Wayne Gretzky International Hockey Tournament - Brantford (Dec. 27-30)
The Byron Optimist Tournament – London (Jan. 19-21)
To help everyone gain an appreciation of the level of commitment, I will send out a "Season Preview" prior to tryouts. This document will discuss practice and game schedule, tournament information, team philosophy, financial commitment, etc.
Registration is currently open on the West London website with the early bird pricing available until July 31st. Also for any families who may be interested, West London will again organize a pre-season warm up skate for the end of August; additional information will be available on the West London website.
