West London Families, the season is fast approaching us. We will be having pre-tryouts starting next week. Please look at the west London website and check the dates and times and than the first week in September we will be having the tryouts. Tryouts will most likely consist of two practices and 3 to 6 ex-games that we are trying to line up.
tournaments for the year have been already lined up;
I will be expecting be the kids to be on the ice an average of 4 times a week as this is competive hockey, we will be doing Monday night team skate with Trevor gallant from October till January 2nd.
I will be looking for players who wanna work hard, wanna listen, wanna respect the game, and most of all that wanna work as a team. I will also be looking for parents that wan be managers, trainers, or coach. They will be interviewed after or the team has been made.
Budget for the year, if the player makes the team there is a west London surcharge that goes to the association for extra ice time. On top of the surcharge there will be 600-800 start up fee for the team. that will recoup the cost for the tourneys($5000), power skating($6800). we will also be looking to purchase warm up uniforms($110per),practice jerseys and other things. we will also be getting together about doing some fundraising so to bring the cost down as much as possible.
