Great Tournament Guys & Gal!
I wanted to congratulate every single player on a hard fought tournament. We played with intensity, and every single player raised their play. There is no doubt that the caliber of teams in this tournament is a couple of levels above the teams we played in Hespeler and we came with 1 goal of winning it all. We should hold our heads high!
I wanted to thank all of the coaches and parents that braved the Western Fair parking lot and whom have been tireless in getting the kids to all of the games and practices all year!
I also wanted to thank the players that dealt with losing some ice time in the 3rd period so well today. It was doubly challenging due to having to kill penalties in that period and also doing what we can to try to put a little more strength on the ice to claw our way back. I will personally make sure that all of those players receive some additional ice and things are made up during our next 5 games.
The coaching staff and I are proud of every single player and the efforts they have put forth game in and game out.
It has been a great run where we won 16 straight games! Wow!!!
