HAWKS MAKE LATE CHARGE (AGAIN) TO WIN
LONDON (CP) – West London’s Cardiac Kids have struck again.The heart-stopping minor atom Hawks battled back from a late deficit to win 3-2 over an impressive Stratford Warriors team at Kinsmen Arena Saturday afternoon.
Down 2-1 late, LucasM netted his second goal of the game to tie it up with mere minutes left in the third period. Avery, displaying a team-wide knack for timely goals, soon scored what proved to be the winner.
All the forwards played well, with Colin, Nolan and EvanK skating hard every shift.
The Hawks defencemen were rock-solid as always, with Liam and Ethan showing great offensive flashes. Gavin, great in his zone and on the rush, earned the game puck. EvanM stopped a last-second breakaway to preserve the win.
Now 2-1-1, the Hawks will bring their never-say-die attitude to practice Sunday at noon at Kinsmen Arena and again Tuesday evening (5:30 p.m. ) at Western Fair before their next game: Saturday against the London Bandits.
