Hespeler Rep Tournament
Congratulations to the MD2 Team on winning the Hespeler tournament over Christmas. It was quite the tight competition with almost all the games separated by 1 or 2 goals.
It started off with a great showing against New Hamburg where the boys showed the scoring touch, after that we showed great defense, back checking and goaltending against the A teams from Scarborough and Halton Hills, which netted us a win and a tie. With a bye to the finals on the line the boys continued the great hustle with a 3-1 win over the Kitchener Rangers.
This setup the epic rematch in the finals against Kitchener and the boys showed adversity coming from behind, then putting in a late goal to take the lead before locking in down on defense.
Thank you to all the parents arranging car pooling, meals and ensuring the boys had fun. Thank you to Daryl for the best pre game speech ever and the most lasting memory it created.
