2015 DQ CUP CHAMPIONS
Congrats to everyone on their hard work to pull off Winning the DQ Cup Novice tournament in South Huron.
The kids played excellent all weekend long starting with the very first game which we almost won but settled for a 2-2 Tie. Then we came out on Saturday and pulled off 2 huge victories but came up 1 goal against from finishing 1st in our division.
This now took us to Sunday in the Semi Finals against an Undefeated Goderich team who had gone 15-0 in their season up to this point with only allowing 4 goals in 15 games. But our kids came out to play and we got a goal in the very first 5 minutes of the game and it stayed that way until we buried or 2nd goal with only 15 seconds left in the game to secure a trip to the FINALS!!!!
We were in tough against the home town team of South Huron but we once again came out flying and scored 3 quick goals and went on to win 6-2 to bring home the hardware!!!
Great job by everyone from Owen in net to the 4 rock solid Defensemen and our snipers up front all 7 of them were all over the puck.
A final thank you goes out to the rest of the coaching staff and our fans for out cheering the other teams all weekend long to cheer on our kids.
