What a weekend!
After playing four round robin games, the Hawks found themselves easily
moving into the semi-finals this past Sunday in Bradford, ON. It turned out to be a tough battle in that
semi-final game. Their opponent scored
first and then kept scoring, managing to get a 5-goal lead by the middle of the
second period. But the Hawks didn’t quit,
scoring goal after goal, tying it up with 1 minute left in the third. One more goal by the Hawks with 24 seconds
left sealed the other team’s fate. What
a comeback! Then on to the finals. The Hawks kept the lead the entire time with
a nail-biting 3 – 2 win against a very tough team. Congratulations boys! You
made us all very proud.
